Visit from KTÜN TTO to Science and Technology Centres of İstanbul

Konya Technical University Technology Transfer Office (KTUNTTO) visited Medipol TTO, Technopark Istanbul and TUBITAK Marmara TEKNOKENT (MARTEK) which are among the leading Science and Technology Centers of Istanbul. Possible collaborations and projects were dealt with during the visits.

 

In the first visit to Technopark Istanbul, the projects that can be done in the field of Defense Industry were discussed. Considering the fact that Teknopark Istanbul which is the advanced technology center of the Turkish defense industry, and our university are within the scope of SAYP, the main theme of the meeting was about possible contributions with the projects for the national defense industry of our country.

 

Afterwards, with the visit to Medipol TTO, possible collaborations on biomedical and artificial intelligence in health was dealt with considering the work of Medipol University in the field of health and the competence of our university in the technical field. During the meetings with Deputy General Director Att. Safiye Soyupak, it is aimed to write TÜBİTAK projects in aforementioned fields in the future, to create industrial and intellectual property rights and to appoint academicians.

 

Finally, during the visit to TÜBİTAK Marmara Teknokent  (MARTEK), a meeting was held with TTO unit manager Deniz Yayla, and ideas were exchanged about possible collaborations among TÜBİTAK Artificial Intelligence Institute, Marmara Teknokent  and Artificial Intelligence Cluster in our University.  

 

Director of KTÜN TTO Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yıldırım, Lecturer Pınar Sungur and Lecturer Mehmet Celalettin Ergene attended the meetings.
