Osman Nuri Çelik (born June 1, 1963, Akşehir) finished Konya Technical and Industrial Vocational High School. Çelik graduated from Selçuk University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and earned his master’s degree in Transportation Engineering at İstanbul Technical University.
Çelik, who worked as a research assistant in the area of Transportation in the Department of Civil Engineering at Selçuk University between 1985-1998, worked as a research assistant at Leeds University between 1991-1996.
Çelik worked as an assistant professor between 1998-2006 and an associate professor between 2006-2011 at Selçuk University, and became a professor in 2011. He served as the head of the department at Selçuk University, the director of the Traffic Accidents Research and Application Centre. He published 13 articles, 10 of which are international refereed, 31 papers, and directed 3 projects and supervised 24 theses. Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik is also a member of the Chamber of Civil Engineers Konya Branch, the Prevention of Traffic Accidents Association Konya Branch and the Turkish Road Association.
