The 25th National Conference on Automatic Control (TOK2024), hosted by our university on September 12-14, 2024, was held with the participation of valuable invited speakers, scientists and researchers. The conference, held for the first time in Konya, shared academic knowledge, innovative technologies, and sectoral experiences with young participants.

While our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik and Automatic Control Turkish National Committee President Prof. Dr. İbrahim Eksin took part in the organization of the TOK2024 Conference as honorary chairmen, the organization was co-chaired by Prof. Dr. Ercan Yaldız, Prof. Dr. Ömer Aydoğdu, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akif Durdu from our University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. The conference was very productive with the support of the long-term efforts and hard work of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department Academicians and Research Assistants.

The scientific event, which saw intense participation, began with the opening ceremony held on the first day. Following the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nejat Olgaç from the University of Connecticut and Prof. Dr. Tufan Kumbasar from Istanbul Technical University made presentations as invited speakers. 69 papers were presented on the first day of sessions. On the second day, Prof. Dr. Serdar Yüksel from Queen's University made a presentation as an invited speaker and 86 more papers were presented in the sessions.

In the scientific event, where approximately 400 participants registered, 155 papers in 35 sessions were presented simultaneously in 5 different halls. The conference covered topics such as control theory and methods, system modeling, optimization and control, transportation technologies, control applications, control system dynamics and analysis, process control, control education, energy systems, robotic systems, network-based control systems, and automation. The event, sponsored by leading companies in the sector, featured stands and 5 companies held workshops.

Four separate training seminars were given at the national event. In the training seminars, Salim Azak presented Vision-Based Estimation of Control Commands in Autonomous Driving Systems”, Abdullah Yusefi presented Improving Positioning in Autonomous Vehicles with Advanced Sensor Fusion Techniques”, Volkan Bekir Yang presented Evaluation of Model-Based Predictive Control Systems in an Autonomous Land Vehicle”, and Mücahit Cihan presented Involutional Neural Networks: Innovative Approaches in Hyperspectral Imaging”, sharing his knowledge and experience with the participants.
