Konya Technical University (KTÜN) has entered into a new strategic partnership in line with its vision of internationalization. A Cooperation Protocol was signed with the Polytechnic University of Tirana at a ceremony held at the KTÜN Gelişim Campus, attended by KTÜN Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Nurettin Çetinkaya, Institutional Coordinator for Foreign Relations Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muharrem Hilmi Aksoy, and Vice-Coordinator for Foreign Relations Lecturer Dr. Teslime Gökgöl.
Representing the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Elfrida Shehu, Director of Communication and Coordination Robert Kodra, and Head of the Communication and Coordination Unit Aulona Beqo attended the meeting. During the meeting, which took place in a cordial and academic atmosphere, representatives from both institutions mutually introduced their universities' visions, research priorities, and international projects.
The protocol, signed following the presentations, covers comprehensive areas of cooperation such as joint graduate programs, exchange of academic and administrative staff and students, joint research projects, scientific events, cultural activities, and summer schools. This agreement is regarded as a significant step supporting both universities' visions of scientific excellence, innovation, and sustainable international partnership.
This protocol, which will be valid for five years, aims to increase the academic visibility of Konya Technical University in Europe and to establish a bridge of knowledge, culture, and technology between the Balkans and Türkiye.
The meeting held within the scope of the protocol concluded with mutual wishes that the new cooperation between the two institutions would contribute to strengthening not only academic but also cultural relations.
