Possible injuries, muscle problems and fatigue in sportsmen will be detected and measures will be taken immediately with the artificial intelligence-supported thermal imaging project developed in Aivisiontech' Company owned by our University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Electrical and Electronics Engineering Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Ceylan. Thanks to the artificial intelligence software developed, it will solve a big problem with the formula that will minimize the damage suffered by clubs in sports due to injury.
Aivisiontech Electronic Software Inc. which was founded by our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Ceylan in 2018 at METU Teknokent and then moved to Konya Teknokent, is a technology company that analyzes data obtained from different imaging modalities (thermal, hyperspectral, 3D, etc.) with artificial intelligence. Aivisiontech, which produces artificial intelligence solutions, draws attention as the first and only solution in its field with ai4sports, as well as ai4sportsW developed for sportswomen and ai4e-sport developed for e-sportsmen.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Ceylan stated that the study is inspiring in terms of the fact that injuries in football bring high costs to teams and that they can be prevented and that it produces a solution in this field, "90 percent of muscle injuries, 66 percent of lower body injuries and 60 percent of joint injuries in football occur without contact. Therefore, these injuries are preventable. With the ai4sports software, which combines thermography, a clinical imaging technique that visualizes infrared radiation emitted from the skin by converting it into electrical signals, with artificial intelligence, 40 different muscle groups of a sportsman are examined in less than 15 seconds and an injury risk analysis is performed and thus injuries can be detected early."
According to the results obtained from the studies, the fact that it has worked with the important teams of the Super League for 2 seasons and 95 percent of the injuries have been predicted correctly in advance is seen as one of the important factors that make the study attractive for investors. Aivisiontech, a local initiative that identifies and prevents possible injuries by performing injury risk analysis with artificial intelligence solutions specific to sportsmen, has also received an investment of 3 million dollars with its new ai4sports product. The investment round of the company, which announced the investment through e-venture, was realized by the general manager of an unnamed bank.
