Konya Technical University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Chemical Engineering, faculty member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tabakçı's project titled "Preparation of QCM Biosensors Modified with Chiral Calixarene and Selective Sensing of Various Chiral Molecules with Biological Importance" received the "Project Performance Award" as part of the TÜBİTAK-1001 program.
Organic nano-films produced within the project are used as sensors for the detection of biological species. The superior sensor properties of organic nano-films produced in this respect are expected to make an important contribution to the increasing biosensor studies both technologically and socio-economically. In addition, the data obtained from the project is expected to be an important resource for many disciplines such as chemistry, biochemistry, engineering, bioengineering, medicine, pharmacy and physics.
Expressing that they aim to contribute to the scientific sensor studies with the completion of the project, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tabakçı said, “As the outputs of the project, 4 articles have been published in journals with high impact, which are part of SCI and SCI-Expanded. In addition, the outputs obtained during the project process were evaluated and 7 papers were presented at national and international conferences. In addition, 1 PhD Thesis and 2 Master's Thesis were completed from the work of postgraduate students who worked as scholarship holders in the project, and the project also provided an opportunity to train young scientists.”
