Our University was accepted as an official member of the Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB) by the unanimous vote of member universities at the 8th General Assembly of TÜRKÜNİB, held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Approximately 200 rectors and senior executives from more than 70 universities attended this year's general assembly of the union, which operates under the Organization of Turkic States.

 

Our University's membership in TÜRKÜNİB serves as a significant milestone in line with its vision of internationalization. The strategy pursued with the goal of becoming a globally recognized, research-oriented institution is being strengthened by concrete steps taken in the fields of scientific collaborations, academic exchange programs, and intercultural interaction.

 

BUILDING BRIDGES, CONSTRUCTING THE FUTURE

 

Emphasizing that this development aligns perfectly with our University's international vision, our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik stated: “We view internationalization not only as a strategy but also as a value. TÜRKÜNİB membership will further strengthen our academic and cultural ties with the Turkic world. Through joint research projects, exchange programs, and knowledge sharing, we will move not only our University but also our region forward.”

 

NEW HORIZONS FOR STUDENTS WITH THE ORHUN EXCHANGE PROGRAM

 

Our University's participation in TÜRKÜNİB brings with it many opportunities, including student and academician exchange within the scope of the Orhun Exchange Program. Thanks to this program carried out among universities in the Turkic world, our University students will be able to gain educational and cultural experience in a wide geography ranging from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.

 

This exchange process will not only provide individual gains; it will also create a ground for joint research and innovation by bringing together different academic perspectives.

Our University's internationalization strategy is shaped by the goal of “carrying knowledge beyond borders.” In this direction, our University aims to:
