Our university has achieved a significant success in the international arena and ranked 27th in the Asia University Rankings 2025 list announced by Times Higher Education (THE).
In the ranking shared with the public, KTÜN secured a position in the 601+ band, achieving the distinction of being among Asia’s most prestigious universities. In the study, where a total of 111 universities from Türkiye were evaluated and only 91 universities made it onto the list, KTÜN earned a place within the 35+ band nationwide among these distinguished institutions.
Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings evaluates universities under five main headings: Education, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Visibility and Industry Collaboration.
In the Turkey-wide ranking, our university ranked 27th in the field of research quality, 57th in the Education category, 67th in the research environment category, 80th in the International Visibility category, and 87th in Industry Collaboration category.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik, shared the following remarks regarding this achievement:
"For our university to be included in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2025 for the first time is a concrete indicator of the qualified academic studies we have been carrying out and our strategic development vision. This success is not only a source of pride for the KTÜN family, but also a reflection of our city’s and our country’s international representation power in the field of higher education. We are determinedly continuing our efforts in line with our goal of advancing our academic performance and institutional capacity every year. In the coming period, we will continue to enhance our research quality, international collaborations, and industry engagement to secure even higher positions in these rankings."
Our Rector thanked all academic and administrative staff, students and stakeholders who contributed to this success and emphasized that our University is taking decisive steps towards becoming a more visible and effective higher education institution on a global scale.
