Our University has achieved a remarkable success in a key indicator that demonstrates the transformation of scientific output into technology and innovation. According to the analysis of the Ratio of Scientific Publications Cited in Patents (2021–2025), conducted based on the Scopus SciVal database, our University ranked among the top institutions in Türkiye with a rate of 0.933.

 

This analysis is of great importance as it reveals not only the quantity of academic publications but also the extent to which these publications contribute to technology, innovation, and industrial applications through patents. The results indicate that the scientific knowledge produced at our University does not remain at a theoretical level but is transformed into outputs that are referenced in national and international patent applications and that carry commercialization and innovation potential.

 

This achievement serves as a concrete indicator of our University’s research-oriented approach, its policy of producing high-quality academic publications, and its focus on applied scientific studies. The integration of research conducted in the fields of basic sciences and engineering into technology development processes also holds strategic value in strengthening university–industry collaborations.

 

In his statement, our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik emphasized that this achievement is a concrete reflection of how the knowledge produced contributes not only to the academic literature but also to technology, innovation, and industry. He stated: “I sincerely congratulate all our academicians and researchers who contributed to this proud achievement.
