Our students have been awarded 900,000 TL in investment from TÜBİTAK BİGG

Our Computer and Information Sciences Faculty students Aysel Banu Tekdamar and Barış Kokulu have earned the right to receive investment under the TÜBİTAK 1812 BİGG (Individual Young Entrepreneurship) programme for their project, ‘Automatic Vessel Detection and Invasive Device’.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Erkan Ülker from the Department of Computer Engineering, our students developed a state-of-the-art medical device designed to address critical challenges encountered in the healthcare field. The project aims to assist healthcare professionals in situations where vessel detection is difficult, thereby reducing error margins and accelerating intervention processes.

After a highly competitive application process, the project was selected among 104 projects deemed worthy of support and was awarded 900,000 TL in funding by TÜBİTAK BİGG.

We congratulate our students on this significant achievement and wish them continued success in their entrepreneurial journey towards adding value to the healthcare sector through the innovative medical technology they have developed.
