Our Rector Prof. Dr. Babür Özçelik participated in the opening of the photography exhibition, which was held at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of our University, as part of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, consisting of the events that took place on the night of July 15.

 

In his speech at the opening of the exhibition, our Rector said, “I think that we should preserve this awareness by not forgetting the fact that the unity of our state and the integrity of our homeland were indestructible by treacherous coup attempts so that what happened on the night of July 15, which is still in our memories, does not happen again. That night, hundreds of our people from different views focused on a goal with the same thought under the same flag, and the struggle to protect the unity of our country was successful. Hopefully, we will continue to protect our country from treacherous and dirty attempts without losing this awareness. I wish Allah's mercy to our citizens who fought at the cost of their lives that night, and to those who were martyred, and I wish health to our veterans. I would like to thank those who contributed to the preparation of our exhibition.”

 

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Dr. H. Kürşad Ersoy, Deputy Dean Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Kekeç, University academic and administrative staff and students attended.

 

For those who want to visit the exhibitions prepared by the Faculty of Architecture and Design of our University and Vocational School of Technical Sciences as part of the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day, the exhibitions will be waiting for their guests until 31 July.
