Prof. Dr. Mustafa Servet Kıran, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences of our University, received the TUBITAK Engineering Sciences Incentive Award for his outstanding international work on the development of meta-heuristic optimization algorithms within the scope of '2024 TÜBİTAK Science, Special Service and Incentive Awards.

 

Organized by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), the 2024 TÜBİTAK Science, Special, Service and Incentive Awards were categorized in 4 different fields. Within the scope of the "TÜBİTAK Science, Special, Service and Incentive Awards" given to support TÜBİTAK's research and development activities in scientific and technological fields and to provide opportunities for the training and development of scientists and researchers, 7 Science Awards, 1 Service Award and 13 Incentive Awards were given in 2024.

 

Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented the awards at the ceremony attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik.

 

In his speech after the award ceremony, also attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik, he said, “In this meaningful night where awards are given in different fields, first of all, I would like to congratulate the valuable scientists who received awards. I would also like to thank our Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Servet Kıran, who was deemed worthy of the award for his work, on behalf of our university for making us experience this pride, and I wish him continued success.
