KTÜN Stood Out with Its Projects at İKAF’26

The Central Anatolia Career Fair (İKAF’26), held in Konya, brought together universities and industry, with Konya Technical University drawing attention through its student projects and strong participation.

As one of the most comprehensive career events in Central Anatolia, the Central Anatolia Regional Career Fair (İKAF’26) was organized in Konya under the theme “The Era of Youth Production,” coordinated by the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) and hosted by Selçuk University. Konya Technical University stood out at the fair with its student projects and active participation.

Our University participated in the fair with eight different student communities and their innovative projects, showcasing concrete examples of university–industry collaboration. Forty students from the Software Development Community, YAZGİT, RACLAB, AI Lab, Informatics Community, Sancaktar, KBRNT, and KTÜN Young Green Crescent introduced projects such as drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), underwater robots, and artificial intelligence applications to visitors.

During the fair, students had the opportunity to meet directly with leading companies in the sector and closely explore job and internship opportunities. By preparing their CVs and completing application processes, the students took an important step in their career journeys.

STRONG INTEREST IN THE KTÜN STAND FROM PROTOCOL MEMBERS

The KTÜN stand attracted significant attention throughout the fair. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security Faruk Özçelik, Governor of Konya İbrahim Akın, AK Party Konya Member of Parliament Latif Selvi, Deputy Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mustafa Uzbaş, Rector of Selçuk University Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz, and Provincial Director of the Konya Labor and Employment Agency Önder Çiftçi visited the stand and received information about the projects from students. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Nurettin Çetinkaya also accompanied the guests during their visits.

“AN IMPORTANT ORGANIZATION CONTRIBUTING TO OUR STUDENTS’ CAREERS”

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik made the following remarks regarding the fair: “The Central Anatolia Career Fair is an important platform that brings together universities with representatives from the public and private sectors. The active participation of our students in such events through our Career Center provides significant contributions to their career planning.”

Career Center Director Lecturer Dr. Resul Çelik stated: “We are very pleased to represent our University with eight different student communities. Our students had the opportunity to present their projects, share their experiences, and meet sector professionals. I would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik, all our academicians, and our students who supported this process.”

AİLA BECAME THE CENTER OF ATTENTION AT THE FAIR

One of the most remarkable projects at the fair was “AİLA,” an AI-supported robot developed by Konya Technical University. Integrating the university’s digital information infrastructure with artificial intelligence, AİLA was designed as an interactive guide for students and academicians.

AİLA facilitates user experience by providing fast and accurate information on courses, exam schedules, regulations, and various aspects of university life, while also supporting academicians in administrative processes, thereby saving time.

Developed within AI Lab, the project reflects the university’s vision for technology and innovation and stands out as a significant output of student-oriented R&D efforts.

The two-day Central Anatolia Career Fair (İKAF’26) concluded successfully with high participation and productive interactions.
