Our Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik and the Konya Regional Director of the Directorate of Communications, Taner Taşkıran came together to discuss the issue of artificial intelligence education in the media sector. During the meeting, it was decided to launch a joint education program to increase the digital skills of media professionals and integrate artificial intelligence technologies into journalism processes.
Within the scope of this new education program, which will be prepared for journalists, editors, cameramen and other professionals working in the media sector, issues such as how artificial intelligence is used in the media sector, data privacy and artificial intelligence ethics will be discussed and participants will be adapted to these technologies through applied education.
Our Rector stated, "As Konya Technical University, we are very pleased to collaborate with the Konya Regional Directorate of the Directorate of Communications to support digital transformation in the media sector and to contribute to the adaptation of media professionals to new technologies. This program will contribute to the development of innovative approaches in the sector through both theoretical and practical modules."
Taner Taşkıran, the Konya Regional Director of the Directorate of Communications, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Artificial intelligence is a technology with the potential to revolutionize the media world. We are very excited to launch a joint education program with Konya Technical University to increase the knowledge and skills of our media professionals in this field. This collaboration will make a significant contribution to the digitalization process of the media sector."
It was stated that more information about the details of the education program and the registration process would be shared soon. This program is expected to raise awareness about the effective use of artificial intelligence in the media sector and to develop qualified human resources for the sector.
