Another Step from KTUN to University-Industry Cooperation

Konya Technical University is preparing for the planned and ongoing academic cooperation between Hursan Press and Chuo University of Japan. Within the scope of KOSGEB R&D and Innovation Support Program, the project named "Control of Welding Seams by Artificial Intelligence Integrated Robots" conducted in cooperation with Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Assistant Dr. Mücahid Barstuğan and Hürsan Press aims to contribute to university-industry cooperation.

 

Hürsan Press Company Product Development Manager Adem Dündar, Production Planning Officer Musa Yılmaz and project manager Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Assistant Dr. Mücahid Barstuğan visited KTUN Rector Prof. Dr. Babür Özçelik regarding the issue. During this visit, Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Mustafa Karaman and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Cemil Sungur were also present.

 

During the visit, ideas were exchanged with the Hürsan Press company, which has an R&D center approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, about the projects carried out within the scope of TÜBİTAK and university-industry cooperation. The importance of universities and international cooperation studies was mentioned by giving information about the academic cooperation planned and being prepared between Konya Technical University, Hürsan Press and Chuo University of Japan. Hursan Press Company officials stated that they are always open to university-industry cooperation and that they offer internship opportunities to students, apart from their joint work with faculty members.

 

Expressing that they attach great importance to university-industry cooperation, KTUN Rector Prof. Dr. Babür Özçelik expressed his satisfaction with the visit and added, “We support all studies, projects and collaborations on behalf of university-industry cooperation, and the outputs obtained as a result will contribute significantly to university-industry cooperation. In this respect, I wish success in current and future partnerships.”
