In his opening remarks, Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik highlighted the complexity of security in the contemporary global context: “We are living in a time when security perceptions are transforming both regionally and globally, with crises, conflicts, and power struggles intensifying. These conditions necessitate a multidimensional security approach that extends beyond military capacity to include diplomatic, economic, technological, and social components. For this reason, I believe the insights Dr. Hulusi Akar will share today hold great significance, especially for our young generation.”
