Coordinatorship of Erasmus+

HISTORY

Konya Technical University (KTUN) was established as a new state university under the Additional Article 179, which was added to Law No. 2809 by Article 7 of Law No. 7141, published in the Official Gazette dated May 8, 2018, and numbered 30425. The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Architecture (renamed as the Faculty of Architecture and Design), and the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, which were previously part of Selçuk University, were transferred to the newly established university. In addition, under the same Law, the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, and the Graduate Education Institute were established. Following the university's establishment, the International Relations Coordination Office of Konya Technical University began its organizational structuring process. The Erasmus+ Coordination Office operates as a sub-unit under the International Relations Coordination Office.

 

The legal framework regulating the operational principles of our Erasmus+ Coordination Office consists of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) awarded by the European Commission; the conditions specified in the Erasmus+ Handbook for Higher Education Institutions published by the Turkish National Agency (Center for European Union Education and Youth Programmes); annual mobility agreements signed with the Turkish National Agency; the Konya Technical University Associate and Undergraduate Education, Training and Examination Regulations; the Konya Technical University Graduate Education and Training Regulations; relevant legislation and decisions of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK); and the Erasmus+ Higher Education Programme Directive adopted by the Konya Technical University Senate on May 8, 2019.

 

OUR MISSION

  To provide education and training activities in an effective, impartial and transparent manner within the framework of the Erasmus+ student exchange program and increasing the recognition of both our country and our university in abroad and directing students, academic and administrative staffs from abroad to our university. To improve the quality of education with different perspectives to the educational activities which we carry out with the sharing of knowledge of the academic staff who come to our country and our university with the mobility of teaching from abroad. Moreover these, it’s aimed to make cooperation permanent and sustainable through bilateral agreements with higher education institutions in the program countries and partner countries within the framework of the Erasmus+ student exchange program.

 

OUR VISION

Participating in the European Union Education Programs at the highest level, and contributing to the creation of an internationalized university environment in harmony with the Bologna process. Being aware of the advantages of cultural cooperation, we aim to be beneficial to the university and country and work for developing these values. Moreover these being a coordinatorship providing international exchange and cooperation with the overseas we offer opportunities to students, academic and administrative staff.
