Purpose: To train qualified technical personnel who have internalized the concepts and practices related to the Jewelry-Jewelry Sector, can put into practice the knowledge and experiences needed by the sector and can transfer their knowledge in this regard, are open to social and technological innovations as well as traditional techniques, are entrepreneurial, self-confident, productive, respectful to people and the environment, and equipped with business ethics awareness to work in the public and private sectors.

Mission: The Jewelry and Jewelry Design Program aims to train high-level individuals who have acquired professional qualifications in their field, are creative in the sector, can design and produce in science and art in line with the requirements of the age, protect their traditional culture, can synthesize the past and the future, have artistic knowledge and skills, are open to innovations in science and art, can design products on the computer, make them ready for production, understand the principle of efficiency, ensure work quality and control, can work in teams, have problem-solving skills, respect human values, and are equipped to meet national and international requirements.

Vision: To be a department that preserves the knowledge of the past in the field of Jewelry and Jewelry Design, while responding to today's needs and giving direction to the future, aims to be recognized in national and international platforms with its scientific and artistic activities, exhibits practices that reflect our traditional culture, can design and produce in parallel with industrial development and cultural change, takes expectations into account, is open to innovation, follows technology and provides the physical environment to use it in the best way, can meet the labor force demand, can make original and contemporary designs, has critical thinking skills and is technically equipped, and trains individuals with professional responsibility.

Program Description: It is an associate degree program that aims to provide professional and academic qualifications.

Admission Registration Requirements: Candidates who have a high school or equivalent school diploma and have received sufficient points from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) in the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) are entitled to register to our programs by making a preference and depending on the quotas. Associate degree programs that Vocational and Technical Secondary Education Institution graduates can be placed in by receiving additional points are explained in the “HIGH EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS EXAM (YKS) GUIDE”.

Recognition of Prior Learning: Students who have previously studied at another higher education institution can apply for exemption from some courses. For this, they must submit the transcript and course contents that are in the application requirements. They are exempted from the courses that are deemed appropriate after the necessary examinations are made.

Graduation Requirements: In order to graduate from this associate degree program, students must be successful in all courses in the program curriculum, collect at least 120 ECTS credits, and complete 2 compulsory workplace internships (Industry-Based Education-EDE) consisting of 30 working days. Students receive 2 years (4 semesters) of education in this program.

Measurement and Evaluation Principles: Konya Technical University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation is taken as basis in measurement and evaluation. In-class activities are implemented by the department faculty members at the beginning of the semester by transferring them to the students.

Employment Opportunities: There are quite large gaps in the jewelry and jewelry sector, especially in design. Therefore, graduates have a wide range of job opportunities, from workshops that produce all kinds of jewelry and jewelry to the design departments of related processes. In addition, graduates become competent in creating their own individual job opportunities.

Transition to Advanced Programs: When students complete their associate degree education, they can continue their undergraduate education by taking the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) held annually by ÖSYM and transferring to faculties related to their fields specified in the DGS catalog.
