Duties of the Career Counselor:
(1) Monitor students throughout their academic careers.
(2) Provide information on career opportunities.
(3) Provide students with information about the associate’s or bachelor’s degree program they are enrolled in.
(4) To take the necessary steps with the relevant Department Chair and Faculty/College administration to resolve any issues students under their guidance encounter during internships and practical training.
(5) To refer students to specialized units regarding study abroad opportunities, internship opportunities, social and psychological issues, and other matters.
(6) Identify students under their guidance who require financial assistance and report them to the unit administration and the relevant units of the Rector’s Office.
(7) Guide and motivate students under their guidance to participate in social responsibility projects.
(8) Guide students under their guidance to participate in scientific activities; if students are interested in their advisor’s field of study, engage in scientific research activities together with them.
(9) Guide students toward activities that contribute to their social, cultural, and athletic development.
(10) Facilitate communication between the graduates and upperclassmen under their career counseling guidance and the underclassmen, thereby contributing to students’ development through a peer counseling model.
(11) Keep the Career Center informed of all activities and work in coordination with the Center.
