About Us 


The Distance Education Application and Research Center of Konya Technical University, established in 2020, opens the doors of the education world full of opportunities. Guided by the principle of “Pioneer of Development,” the center adopts a student-centered education philosophy, keeps pace with emerging global technologies, conducts scientific and technological research, and provides support to relevant academic and administrative units while aiming to achieve its goals at the international level.

 

KTUN-UZEM aims to organize activities related to e-learning–based courses and programs in associate, undergraduate, and graduate education through distance education. It also supports courses offered at the university with e-learning, organizes post-graduation education programs through distance education to contribute to the development of professional knowledge, and disseminates knowledge to society by offering diploma, certificate, and similar programs for all segments of society in areas of need, thereby promoting the principle of lifelong learning.

 

History

The Distance Education Application and Research Center of Konya Technical University started its activities within the framework of the regulation published in the Official Gazette No. 31177 on July 6, 2020.

To be a leading center that enhances the effectiveness of education and training by using contemporary information and communication technologies; recognizes the importance of lifelong learning; adopts the principle of meeting individuals’ educational needs; possesses a sustainable education system; is open to innovation and participation; is competitive at the national level; and is open to international cooperation.

To be an innovative and research-oriented center that follows global developments in the field of distance education, ensures the high-quality implementation of distance education activities at our university, offers approaches and solutions to provide equal opportunities in education, and develops projects in this field.
