Purpose:Our department aims to educate individuals who aim to reach international standards in associate education, who can design original systems and compete globally by following new developments in their discipline, who are sensitive to universal values and faithful to occupational ethics, and who use their knowledge and technology for the welfare and happiness of the society.
Vision: Our department has the vision of training specialist technicians who find fast, high quality and effective solutions to the problems of stakeholders, and have sufficient knowledge and skills in the technical field, and the vision of being a department whose graduates are preferred and sought in our country and in the world, and having an international student and academic staff structure.
Mission: The Department of Electricity and Energy, as a department preferred primarily by successful university candidates with the education and training at the associate level, undertakes the mission of teaching its students to access and use the information on subjects that industry and society need, providing them with the ability to transmit, develop and apply information and to participate in and contribute to scientific and social activities at national and international level with a multidisciplinary team spirit, graduating students by endowing them with an awareness of working with ethical responsibility, which can increase the quality of life in our country and the ability to bring solutions to the problems of the related discipline they choose and to create new projects in an environment where technology is developing rapidly, and educating and guiding students to adopt scientific excellence in a global scale and training self-confident and creative students who have effective (written and verbal) communication skills.

Description of the Program: It is an associate degree program aiming to equip the students with professional and academic qualifications.
Admission and Registration Requirements: If the candidates have a high school or equivalent diploma and get enough grades from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) in Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), they are eligible to enrol in our programs depending on the quota. The associate degree programs that the graduates of Vocational and Technical High Schools can enrol by obtaining additional marks are explained in the HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION EXAM (YKS) GUIDELINE.
Recognition of Previous Learning: Education and training activities are carried out by paying attention to the qualities of students coming from the Vocational and Technical Education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education without taking examination, and the qualities of students coming from other high schools and equivalent schools as a result of the ÖSYM examination.
Requirements for Graduation: In order to graduate from this associate degree program, students must be successful in all courses in the curriculum, have at least 120 ECTS credits and complete 2 compulsory workplace internships (Industry Based Education-EBE) consisting of 30 working days. Students in this program study for 2 years (4 terms).
The Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: Assessment and Evaluation process is based on Konya Technical University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Exam Regulations. In-class activities are carried out by the academic staff by transferring them to the students at the beginning of the semester.
Employment Opportunities: Students who graduate from the Electricity Program are employed in public institutions and organizations related to companies producing goods / services in the Electricity and Energy sector.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs: Students can take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) held by ÖSYM every year and continue their undergraduate education by transferring to the faculties related to their field indicated in DGS catalogue.
