Technical Tour of the Mercedes-Benz Aksaray Truck Plant

Students from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Konya Technical University visited the Mercedes-Benz Truck Plant in Aksaray as part of a technical field trip organized in collaboration with the Career Center and the Career and Motivation Club.

Students from the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and Industrial Engineering participated in the technical tour. The students had the opportunity to observe the production processes of Mercedes-Benz—one of the world’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers—firsthand and to interact directly with industry professionals.

This visit aimed to help students reinforce their theoretical knowledge in the field, witness engineering applications firsthand, and support their career planning.

Dr. Resul Çelik, Lecturer and Director of the Career Center at Konya Technical University, stated, “We place great importance on the technical field trips we organize in collaboration with our Career Center and the Career and Motivation Society, as they allow our students to witness field engineering firsthand. We would like to thank the Mercedes-Benz officials and managers for their hospitality and for sharing this valuable experience, which contributes to the future engineers.”

Melike Pek, President of the Career and Motivation Society and a third-year mechanical engineering student, said, “We got to see the production facility of a global brand like Mercedes-Benz firsthand. The insights we gained into the high-tech production line, quality control processes, and employee organization helped shape our career goals. We would like to thank our university for providing us with this opportunity and the Mercedes-Benz representatives who hosted us.”
