The meeting was chaired by Dr. Resul Çelik, Lecturer and Director of the Career Center, and attended by members of the board of directors. During the meeting, the center’s activities carried out in the first six months of 2025 were reviewed, and discussions were held regarding the work planned for the coming period. Center Director Dr. Resul Çelik presented the activities to the board members under main headings.
Featured Activities
Career Days and Trade Show Participation
- Konya Technical University participated in the Central Anatolia Career Fair (İKAF’25), the Career Days at Esentepe Anatolian and Science High Schools, and the TEKNO-SEL 2025 events. Student projects from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Architecture and Design were showcased at the university’s booth.
University-Industry Collaborations
- A visit was paid to PANKOBİRLİK President Ramazan Erkoyuncu and TORKU, resulting in a partnership and the provision of internship opportunities for students.
- A corporate visit was conducted with the Human Resources department of Seydişehir Eti Aluminum Inc.
Training and Development Programs
- Under the coordination of the Career Center, training sessions for students on a variety of topics have been launched as part of the İŞKUR Youth Program. The training sessions cover topics such as occupational health and safety, substance abuse prevention, stress management, effective communication, and financial literacy.
- A 25% discount on foreign language courses for university staff is available through Özel Mersin İDA.
- A cooperation agreement has been signed with Atalay Educational Institutions.
Social Responsibility and Social Contribution
- As part of the initiative to designate 2025 as the “Year of the Family,” a gathering was held at the Yaşar Aydın Special Education Preschool with the families of children with special needs.
- As part of the commemoration program for July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, a dinner and a photo exhibition were organized in honor of the families of the martyrs and the veterans.
Technical Tours and Field Events
- Technical field trips were organized to the Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant SCADA Building with students from the Department of Interior Architecture and to the Mercedes-Benz Aksaray Truck Plant with students from the Faculty of Engineering.
Alumni Reunion
- Under the coordination of the Career Center, a well-attended alumni dinner was organized.
Structural Developments
- On May 26, 2025, there was a change in leadership on the Career Center’s Board of Directors.
- Revision work has begun to update the Career Center Guidelines. The revision process is ongoing, taking into account the contributions and suggestions of the relevant units.
