“THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF OUR VALUED GRADUATES ARE OUR UNIVERSITY’S ACHIEVEMENTS”
In his speech, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik, addressed the graduates as follows: “I am delighted to be gathered here today to share the blessings, unity, and beauty of the month of Ramadan. Universities, of course, should not be limited to academic work alone; they must also become centers that add value to society, industry, and the city. We, too, are embracing an educational philosophy that is deeply intertwined with the city, industry, and society. We continue to transform industrial partnerships and academic research into projects that make a difference not only for our country but also on a global scale. Each of you has taken significant strides in various fields, advancing not only your own lives but also our society as a whole. The successes you have achieved in many different areas—such as public administration, the business world, industry, and leadership—are not only individual achievements but also societal gains. With the conviction that your achievements are also our University’s achievements, I would like to emphasize that we will always stand by your side. On this occasion, drawing inspiration from the spiritual power of Ramadan, we once again reflect on the importance of being together, solidarity, and sharing. With these thoughts in mind, I thank each of you for your participation and extend my respectful greetings. “
MEMİŞ KÜTÜKÇÜ: “TURKEY’S FUTURE LIES IN INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION”
Speaking on behalf of the graduates of Konya Technical University, Memiş Kütükçü—Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Organized Industrial Zones, Chairman of the Assembly of the Konya Chamber of Industry, and a 1980 graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Konya State Academy of Engineering and Architecture—stated that Turkey’s future lies in manufacturing, saying, “Turkey’s future lies in industrial production. “If our esteemed President has declared ‘investment, production, employment, and exports’ as the motto for the next 100 years, realizing this depends on our further increasing our already strong production capacity. For this reason, our universities have a great deal of work to do. Specifically for Konya, Konya Technical University has even more work to do,” he said.
