Dr. Hulusi Akar, Chair of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, was a guest speaker at the conference titled “Security Issues in Turkey and Our Region,” organized by our university in collaboration with the National Vision Society and our stakeholders.
The event, held in the Conference Hall of our university’s Development Campus, was attended by Dr. Hulusi Akar, Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Member of Parliament for Kayseri; İbrahim Akın, Governor of Konya; Mehmet Baykan, Member of Parliament for Konya; Mustafa Hakan Özer, Member of Parliament for Konya; Yaşar Karayel, Member of Parliament for Kayseri (24th Term); and Prof. Dr. Erol Turan, Rector of Konya Food and Agriculture University, Rector of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gavgalı, Karatay District Governor Bayram Yılmaz, Selçuklu District Governor Eflatun Can Tortop, and President of the KOP Regional Development Administration Dr. Murat Karakoyunlu, as well as prominent representatives from Konya’s public and private sectors, civil society organizations, academic and administrative staff, and students.
