Purpose: The aim of the department is to train qualified technicians who have absorbed the concepts and principles related to Construction Technologies, who can transform the necessary designs of the architectural and reinforced concrete static projects and their knowledge and experience into practical applications, who are entrepreneurial, productive, respectful to people and the environment, and open to social and technological innovations, who have the skills to act as a bridge between architects, civil engineers and workers and have the skills to ensure that the manufacturing is done in accordance with the relevant standards and earthquake regulations, and who have the knowledge to ensure that all kinds of manufacturing is done in the construction sector in accordance with the technique and to control this process, and who can take part in public and private sectors.

Vision: In the developing construction sector, our vision is to become a department that can conduct research at a high level and contribute to science, and to train technicians who aim to transform science and technique for the benefit of our country and humanity, who know how to think, learn, research, question, who can compete nationally and internationally, equipped with contemporary knowledge, and who have the necessary skills of a technician staff.

Mission: Our mission is to train technicians who have sufficient knowledge in mathematics, science and their fields, who can interpret and evaluate data by using the basic level of knowledge and skills in their field, identify problems, actualize professional plans and projects and find solutions, necessary techniques for applications related to the field, who can determine and effectively use the techniques, tools and information technologies required for the applications related to the field, who can produce solutions to unforeseen problems faced in their applications, and who can take responsibility in working groups or have the ability to work individually, communicate effectively and have a level of foreign language knowledge to follow innovations in their field. In addition, our mission is to train individuals who are respectful to historical and social values and socially responsible, who have an awareness of universal, social and professional ethics, who follow the developments in science and technology with the awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning, and constantly renew themselves, who have the knowledge and awareness of job security, worker health and environmental protection, and who have the ability to apply and control the works relevant to their profession by following the works on site in all kinds of office works related to construction in the public sector.

Description of the Program: It is an associate degree program that aims to provide students with professional and academic qualifications.

Admission and Registration Requirements: If the candidates have a high school or equivalent diploma and get enough grades from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) in Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), they are eligible to enroll in our programs depending on the quota. The associate degree programs that the graduates of Vocational and Technical High Schools can enrol by obtaining additional marks are explained in the HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION EXAM (YKS) GUIDELINE.

Recognition of Previous Learning: Students who have previously studied in another higher education institution can apply for exemption from some courses. For this, they have to submit the transcript and course content as explained in the terms of application. They can be exempted from the appropriate courses after necessary evaluations.

Requirements for Graduation: In order to graduate from this associate degree program, students must be successful in all courses in the curriculum, must have at least 120 ECTS credits and complete 2 compulsory workplace internships (Industry Based Education-EBE) consisting of 30 working days. Students study in this program for 2 years (4 terms).

The Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: Assessment and Evaluation process is based on Konya Technical University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Exam Regulations. In-class activities are carried out by the academic staff by transferring them to the students at the beginning of the semester.

Employment Opportunities: Graduates of the program can work as "Construction Technician" and "Building Insulation Technician" in public and private workplaces. In accordance with the "Building Inspection Implementing Regulation" published in the Official Gazette dated 12.08.2001 and numbered 24491, they can take part in the control firms that control the regulatory compliance of the projects prepared under the guidance and administration of architects and engineers, the accuracy of the details and accounts, and the presence of the registration documents of the project owners. They can be appointed as site supervisors in buildings not exceeding 5 floors and with an area of ​​500m². In addition, they are authorized to act as building supervisor, assistant site supervisor and building inspector in all kinds of construction. They can also work in public enterprises, private architecture and engineering offices and ready-mixed concrete companies, construction laboratories and building inspection offices.

Transition to Higher Degree Programs: Students can take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) held by ÖSYM every year and continue their undergraduate education by transferring to the faculties related to their field indicated in DGS catalogue.
